Sorry for off topic, but need some help here...
Unfortunately, my mom has taken a turn for the not so good... She is ok, but needs lots of assistance now... :(
Anyway, I am getting her moved into an assisted living location in Plum (I live in Penn Hills & work in Monroeville)
Do any of you have leads/info on electric hospital beds? What should I look for, brands, features, new vs. used, etc.
I see prices from $50 to $1000 for used on craigslist...
TIA!!!!

Hello gdv. You don't have to buy one, they do rent them by the month.
Does your mom have health care coverage? Medicare coverage? There may be a copay with either one but at least you do not have to pay full up for one. Have your mom contact her doctor and he may be able to write a prescription for one that can be used with any/most insurance coverages.
Good luck!

Mark,
thanks for the reply...
Guess I should have stated more info... My mom's condition is poor, BUT based on her diagnosis, she does NOT qualify for an electric hospital bed!!! Medicare will provide a "crank" bed... She can qualify for a "crank" hospital bed, but that is basically useless, unless I pay some monkeys to live in her room do the "crankin" when needed! ;)
I will check into the renting, but feel I will need to buy her one...
