CTF-1250 Test Run
« on: December 05, 2010, 07:29:57 PM »
Tom - I tried the Pioneer deck today, hooked up to the Sansui 7000.  VERY NICE!   Worked great for about 50 minutes - then stopped  :o,  but at least now I know the motor is worth getting!!!  As good a cassette player as I have ever had the benefit of listening to.
 :P :P :P

If it is the motor, you might be able to fix it:

I rebuilt a CT-F900 using the above as a guide and it's been wotking fine since.

I was also looking at the AK post. Very informative. Looks like a bitch to do.

I read the AK post as well and printed it for reference. I am also hesitant to undertake the repair but may reconsider.  It is good to read just to understand what's happening with the old motors and how to go about fixing it if you have the guts and patience required.   Thanks for sharing it.  Pepe.

Shit, I'll take that 1250 and give it a try.
