Outside of the flimsy looking woofer, the dome mid and tweet have me a little intrigued... I bet they don't sound half bad, and for $150?? Can't go wrong.
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

They are a bit light on bass, but proper placement brings them to life. With a sub, they are way above average. The woofer is better than it looks. The mid and tweet is very smooth. Very heavy, well built speakers.

Excellent speakers at a excellent price :o :o :o Just a little light on the lowest frequency's. But very accurate on everything else, if you have a sub, these would be killer. They are very well built cabinets, 48 pounds each :o :o :o And sound so close to that of the NS-1000, and in this case at a small fraction of the cost.
If I had any cash now, I would snag them. But, Mikey is dirt poor :( :( :( :( :(
