That does look pretty cool.  That would look great in someone's home that has an early 1950 look.  Bet with some updates it would sound great!

I've been thinking about picking that piece up if for nothing more than to make some dough on epay... but I can't find much info online...
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

Looks like a VERY early example of separate components. Back when you could buy an all in one unit with detached speakers. circa 70's
