You have a nice collection of high end blank tapes too, I see.
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

I have one TDK "MA" and a Maxell "MX" tape that I am holding onto for the right material to record to. They are very hard to come by unless you are willing to lose a limb on ePay for them.
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

Big fan of the Pioneer PD65 CD player.   I made a huge mistake selling mine a few years ago.
The turntable platter system was brilliant. The internal DACs were very very nice. The MSB DAC
that I added later really didnt do too much.  At least I dont think I pick one or the other thats how good
the PD65 DACS were.
