Just scored my first Carver amplifier!! It's an A-400x Power Amp. It should arrive today:) I'm an audio nut by nature, as well as a musician of some 35 years.
I LOVE vintage Hi Fi. Anything built after 1997 IMHO is plastic JUNK!( You know the stuff you find at wally-mart that's supposed to be 500 watts?) Yea right..
I'd put a 26 watt Marantz 2226b against anything you can get at best buy or wally mart and blow it away..lol  Any-who-sit's I'm glad that I found this forum,
and hope to develop some friendships here...

As a musician and someone who is relatively new to this as well, I welcome you! There are a ton of cool people (mostly dudes) here and an enormous wealth of information.  With all the info/reviews/tips/tricks/for sale/ext, becoming a member of this forum will literally make your hi-fi experience better overall.  Cheers
