Cool Stuff.  What is E-wave?  I have 3 sets of Large Advents, is this something I should do?

It is an option that significantly improves the sound of the Large Advent. In fact, it puts the sound quality up there with speakers that cost thousands...Here is the link that portrays mine: http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=258298

Nice pictures Mark, but as usual I am still confused.  Is that a tweeter unit you bought and installed or a separate horn and tweeter?  Would the original woofers work?  Did you upgrade or modify the xover?

The tweeter is a Pyle 612 waveguide mated up to a selenium driver (creates a very smooth horn). The crossover is nearly completely different. I built it myself from parts that I ordered from Parts Express. The only part of the original crossover that I retained was the coil. The stock woofer should be retained. To me, the weak link on a Large Advent is the tweeter which makes this speaker a perfect candidate for an "e-wave". Get on AK and read, read, read. That is how I started with it.

Thanks Mark,

Not only am I confused, but sometimes a little impatient.  Checked the AK discussion and several links and did not see the answer right away.  I will go back and read some more.

I understand completely. Don't try to read the entire original ewave thread. Read my build and this one:http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=196614. I think Bauhausler was the first to ewave the Large Advent utility. If you decide to try this, I will help you. If I can do it, anyone can.
