A single decent 6EU7?

Greeting all,

     Anyone sitting on a decent quality single 6EU7 they might want to move along?  The old one on my 8408 is failing,  I would happily pay to have it mailed down to Uniontown as well.

Test your old one first man.

Or yank one out of your 6V6 amp and see if it does the same thing. :)

I did that very thing and should have known that 'whooshing' in the background was pointing to a failing pre tube, same symptoms.

Rolling in the other 6EU7 as well as an old NOS set of RCA 6BQ7s really livened up that little guy (on top of eliminating the odd background noise).... though it seems like the Forte in the right corner is still a little louder....
