Any vintage JBL fans?
« on: January 11, 2010, 03:58:36 PM »
I am thinking of giving up my L65 Jubals.  A great way to spend some of that tax refund.  All original drivers/xover including the famous LE022 ring tweeters.  Extra glass top, extra grills!  Cabinets 8-9 out of 10.  Hate to part them out (and see these tweets go to Asia), would rather see them go to a nice home!  Reasonable offer, trades or trade + cash.

Here is a pic of a tweeter I sold to Korea. :-[  I kept the better pair!

All I have for trade is a pair of Mirage m890i and a ssansui au710. Any interest? I'd love to get me a pair of those. Those are the first speakers I remember my dad having just before he sold them for a pair of blows 901s >:(.
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

Thanks for the offer King-edwin!  I have owned similar speakers from definitive technology (BP6,8&10's) and they didn't stick around too long.  Have you ever compared the brands?  Unless they sound a lot better...

Also I am in amplifier overload, 6 Phase Linears, Son of Ampzilla, and more.

These are not going anywhere in a hurry.  I was thinking along the lines of High End CD player, DAC, Electrostatic, Ribbon, Walsh, Heil, based speakers.

And as always, nice tube gear (especially a preamp).

Keep me posted if you end up with ML's and tire of them.

I don't know. He only kept them for a couple years and picked up some sda1s. I know he regrets getting rid of the jubals.

Make me an offer!  We could start with that cd player for a start.  After that...

Nice !  ;)

I've got a really nice pair of 240Ti's, as well as a pair of great sounding 4410A monitors.
