Is it probable we may have to do w/o the shoutbox permanently - will keep you posted.  It consumes a lot of CPU power and paying for a higher level of hosting service is not practical.   This thread does a decent job in the meantime - methinks.  Will continue monitoring for options,  and Al may still turn it on for testing at some point.  Regards, OBG.

Perhaps we could start a new monthly 'shoutbox thread' to make searching a little easier.

That sounds good now, but after a while I think having many threads will actually be worse.   Asfar as searching goes, the "real" shoutbox actually purged itself, so even just one thread will be better in that regard.

Mine.   It came on a used TV I just bought.   I reused the stationary one I had.   Using a mount that allows Jerome to yank the TV from the wall then slam it back into the wall again would be a classically bad idea, but it's a really nice mount.
