thanks for the ideas.... window screen is too restrictive from what I've read. But no thank you to poisons inside the enclosure or port tubes lol  What an idea lol

I hope so.  I'm hoping for my Dow portfolio to rebound.   Do they have some new poisons in the pipeline?

Label says Bayer. Are they related to Dow? Regardless, I use it for yellow jackets and ants.

Re: Temporary shout box. sub for patio complete!

finished the build for the ported patio sub and the results far exceeded my expectations! (which never happens lol).  Took the very vintage Trusonic 4 cf (outside dimensions) and modified it to fit the HSU Research V-PF-12100LP driver, a Dayton Audio SPA250 plate amp that has the high level inputs and outputs and two flared 3" Precision ports @ +/- 19.5" long tuned to 24 htz per driver specs. Sprayed the box inside and out with truck bed liner. Covered the ports with some netting that the wife had on hand, not pretty but will modify them over the winter.  Had a hard time summing up the courage to drill the two 5 1/4" holes in the box for the ports....  not a thing of beauty but works very well in the open area. Digs surprising deep and the SPL is much more than adequate.

Thank goodness my neighbors are +300 ft away in the back lol  iPhone app says I'm getting down below 25 htz (the lowest it measures) about 12 ft away...  I "almost never" play music anywhere over peak 85 db ish. Using a Technics TX100 amp to drive the KEF Ventura 5s and the sub really seems to let the amp and speakers do much more of their thing. Really tickled to finally have a sub out there, although I know humidity and temp will do their damage. I'll cover it when it rains just in case a stray drop gets by the canopy.

You know that you don't need an invite to stop by for a beer/ soft drink etc and a listen. Just bring some music that you like.

Well done.  You know it's claimed to be best when two subs are run for stereo...........

pushing the WAF already with one big sub lol  also two might work with sub outs on AV receivers but not the speaker outputs only on the zone two that I'm using. Need those high outs and those plate amps don't like only have one side running. Not a standing wave in sight lol

I wonder if when you use the high current inputs if the line output is in the signal path so that you can daisy chain another amp.   My guess is no, but it's only a guess.

These TAD Hibachi mono blocks I have for sale offer RCA outs
to allow for daisy chaining.

The question is about if line level outs work when using speaker level inputs.

Not sure.... in my application I'm using a Technics TX-100 amp to drive 2 pair of KEF Ventura 5 speakers from the A & B speaker terminals for my patio and deck.  The sub is hooked to the pair on the patio. The amp is a Dayton SPA250. I'm using high level, speaker level inputs and outputs. The amp does have low level input and output that will allow you to daisy chain multiple subs together but only via a low level input.  https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-spa250-250-watt-subwoofer-plate-amplifier--300-803

but only via a low level input.

That's what I thought but I wasn't sure.
