Record Store Day 2019
« on: April 11, 2019, 10:17:01 AM »
Of those interested,  what is everyone looking for this year?

Not sure if I'll get to the store in Njimegen, Netherlands early or at all but going to try.

Hoping to score some reggae, the Dylan acetate Blood on the Tracks and a few more .  If not, Mark will be helping me out.

What's on your list as essential ?
Rega Planar 3
WTL TPP
Oppo 103
Musical Fidelity M1 DAC
AR LS-17
Quad II 80 monoblocks
Canton CT-800 speakers

For me it is the live Matthew Sweet and the Frank Black - Teenager of the Year.

Not quite essential but I will probably buy it anyway, especially if they are out of either of the other two, The Blasters Live.   It's the only full show recording with Hollywood Fats.   That was the tour where I first saw them (but not the exact show).

Albert King mono. I won't go out on Saturday, if I find it afterwards great.

I'd like to see one of those 3" "records" find its way to a painful spot on Jack White, I'm sick of his gimmicky BS. He ought to concentrate on making QUALITY records, far too many Third Man releases have been disappointing sound quality wise.  End rant.

Good.   Maybe they will drain away some of the line at The Attic.

Cool idea, however telling people what it is and where it's at could be risking lots of pushing and shoving.

Cool idea, but they shouldn't have stuck that blue OBI on it.   Make people work for it a little.   One of my favorite things about the last swap meet was the way that Tom threw a couple gems in there.   I spotted two of them and watched someone else get a third.   That was fun.

I got all three and thoroughly enjoyed all three.   Blew out my budget, but it was worth it.
