Title: Record bin plans
Post by: scorpio333 on February 05, 2018, 06:22:24 PM
OBG was over and asked if I had plans for the record bin I built. Took awhile to dig it out of email. Putting it here if anyone is interested in the future. I built this about 3 years or so ago so some of the details are foggy. I believe the plans were made with the idea of using just two 4x8 sheets of material. One problem I ran into were the sides, I had to butt joint them about 2/3 of the way up. If I were to do it over, I would definitely use solid pieces for the side. The joints are hidden and I never had a stability problem.

This is for the bin on the left. I bought the bin on the right already assembled, I believe it's the infamous single 4x8 sheet bin.

That's for the smaller bin on the right. My chicken scratch is for the big one on the left.

Great storage idea, and it looks good too!  ;)
