Title: Snell Type J IV for sale/trade
Post by: RnR on September 06, 2019, 01:51:52 PM
Hey there,

I have a pair of MINT Snell Type J IV speakers, plus matching center channel I'm going to have to let go.  As of right now they are just sitting in my spare bedroom, and the only other spot in my small house they could go already has two pairs of large speakers.  These are very impressive slim 2-way floorstanders from the late 90's.  I had them professionally refoamed two months ago, and have played them around 30 hours since then.  They are both tube/SS friendly, and have been successfully run on a Marantz 2220 as well as a 20 watt PP tube amp.
Adjustable tweeter level.  Imagine Tom's Snell Type B but smaller, little smaller sound-stage and little less bass.  The voicing is just spot on, as they used matched pairs of SEAS drivers, very coherent with excellent imaging.

The photos shown are actually stock photos, these are black and in even better condition, I would say dead mint.  If I had room I would absolutely be keeping them.  Definitely stop by for a demo if you have any interest at all, they're surely fun.

$300 or trade for somthin' cool!

Thanks
